How To Fix My Credit Score In 6 Months, fix credit score.#Fix #credit #score

How to fix your credit score in 6 months

Your credit score is a quick indicator of your creditworthiness.

When your credit score drops, your ability to qualify for loans declines. In addition, a low credit score affects your ability to rent a house or have utilities turned on in a home or apartment.

Scores range between 300 and 850, making a credit score of 700 or above considered good. A score of more than 800 is excellent, but most scores fall in the 600 to 750 range.

There are plenty of situations in which you might want to repair your credit score fast. This might leave you asking, “How do I fix my credit score in six months?” Luckily, you have some options.

How to fix your credit score in 6 months

When you start to repair your credit score, you must first find out what’s on your credit report. While your credit report contains information on all of your credit cards and your timeliness in paying bills, it also can have erroneous information.

To be sure, it falls to you to report any errors. You must dispute these errors with the credit bureaus. After they’ve removed any errors, your credit score should improve as long as your credit is good otherwise.

Manage your credit utilization

Utilizing your credit cards properly also plays a significant factor in determining your credit score. Your credit utilization ratio compares your credit card debt to your available credit.

For example, carrying a ratio of 70 percent means that you have a greater risk of not paying off your debt.

While you want to keep your credit utilization ratio under 30 percent, zero percent utilization could hurt your credit score. Most financial experts recommend you keep a ratio of 10 percent to 30 percent.

Don’t close your old cards

Closing credit cards you’ve paid off can lower your credit score. Closing a card causes your available credit to drop, reducing your borrowing power.

You can pay off other card balances to reduce the effect of closing the card on your credit utilization, which can influence your score.

Another way to increase your available credit is to ask your creditors to raise the limits on cards you already have. To be sure, raising the limits on your credit cards doesn’t mean you should go out and spend more. This is just a tactic to improve your credit score quickly.

Settle old debts

You should work with creditors to pay any old debts. This includes delinquent debt that your creditors have sold to a collection agency. Not only can settling old debt get rid of the collection calls, but it also can improve your credit score.

You also can attempt to negotiate with creditors, offering to pay off old debt in return for reporting that the account has been paid. Be sure to get the agreement in writing before making payments.

Pay your bills on time

Once you have started your credit-repair journey, make sure you pay your bills on time. Over time, this can establish you as a reliable card user who pays your debts.

Because bad credit takes seven years to fall off your credit report, you should get started early to get back on the path to better overall credit.

Conclusion

Repairing your credit score quickly is simple using a few effective steps, including making sure everything on your credit report is correct, utilizing your credit wisely and paying your bills on time to establish a consistent payment record.

Before you know it, you should have better credit, allowing you to buy a house or car more easily.

How to Fix Curling Vinyl Floor Tile

Start to Finish

  • rolling pin
  • iron
  • vinyl gloves
  • putty knife
  • seam sealer
  • wax paper
  • aluminum foil
  • grout and tile sealer
  • tile adhesive

Step 1

How to fix credit

DIYW206-Iron-Vinyl

Heat the Vinyl Tile Floor

Cover the tile with aluminum foil. Then warm it with an iron on medium heat. This will make the tile flexible and soften the adhesive.

Step 2

How to fix credit

DIYW206-Apply-Adhesive

Apply the Adhesive

Peel back more of the tile so you can apply sufficient adhesive. Gently lift the tile and spread a thin layer of adhesive on the floor. Don’t overdo it — too much adhesive can cause the tile to ripple.

Step 3

How to fix credit

DIYW206-Rolling-Pin

Press the Tile Back Down

Press the tile back into place and using the rolling pin, roll towards the edge to force out any excess adhesive. Wipe up any stray adhesive using a wet cloth.

Step 4

How to fix credit

DIYW206-Book-Weights

Secure the Tile in Place

Cover the repair with wax paper and heavy books. The weight of the books will hold the tile down until the adhesive dries. Leave the books on the tile for at least eight hours or until the glue dries. After it’s dry, take the seam sealer and run a thin bead along the seams. That will keep dirt out for good.

    Does Credit Repair Really Work?

There are many people that are skeptical about credit repair. They want to know if these services REALLY do work. After reviewing the most popular credit repair agencies and the results of their clients, we can definitely conclude that these services do in fact work. Obviously, not all companies are created equal and each company has their own methodology for removing negative items from your credit report.

Just to give you an idea of the type of results to expect, Lexington Law claims that their clients have an average of 10 negative items removed from their credit report. Most companies do offer a money-back guarantee if you’re not satisfied with their service. In addition, most services offer a free case evaluation so they can see if they can help your situation before you decide to sign up.

How Do These Services Work To Repair Your Credit?

If you re going to be hiring one of these services, you probably want to know what you ll be receiving for your money right? Companies that claim to help fix your credit should be completely upfront with what they can and can’t do for your situation. A good company can remove negative items from your credit report and help improve your FICO score, making it easier to obtain a home, vehicle, mortgage, or insurance.

Most credit repair companies work in the following way:

    1. Obtaining your credit report from all 3 major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion)
    2. Identifying specific items in your credit report that can be disputed.
    3. File credit disputes on your behalf using little-known strategies that yield a high success rate.
    4. Communicate with creditors and credit bureaus on your behalf to remove negative items as soon as possible.

Are Credit Repair Companies Worth The Cost?

Depending on which company you decide to use, the price of service will generally be between $59.95 and $99.95 per month. However, there are no long-term contracts and you can cancel the service at any time.

Considering how much extra money you pay in high interest charges with a bad credit score, we do believe that the best credit repair services are worth the price. A higher FICO score can result in better interest rates on loans, mortgages, credit cards, and more. If you have a poor credit score and need to fix your credit fast, these services will get you the best results in the shortest amount of time.

Factors to Consider Before Choosing a Credit Repair Company

Chances are if you are taking the time to research credit repair services, personal finances are important to you. This is why it is critical to do your homework before settling on a company to help you repair your credit.

    1. The #1 warning sign that you should avoid a company are upfront fees. No reputable credit repair agency will ask you to pay any monies upfront. Fees should only be paid upon the services have been rendered.
    2. Educate yourself on the items currently negatively impacting your credit score. There are quite a few free resources online for acquiring a copy of your credit report. Often your bank will provide you with a free report.
    3. Be clear on your expectations.
    4. Educate yourself on your rights. The Fair Credit Billing Act was enacted in 1974 for the purpose of protecting consumers from unfair credit billing practices. It provides the guidelines for procedures to follow when disputing issues regarding billing statements.

5 Important Things To Find Out From A Credit Repair Company Before You Choose One

    1) Is The Company Both Bonded and Insured?

Any credit repair company that you are considering, should be fully bonded, licensed, and insured. Otherwise, you will most certainly find yourself in a compromising position should something go wrong. A credible credit repair company will have no issues showing you their credentials.

    2) What Information Should I have on hand?

Credit repair companies will all have certain ways of doing things, but FICO functions the same for all of them. You will want to make sure you have the following personal and/or business information ready before making that call.

    1. Government-issued photo ID or passport
    2. Your current home address
    3. Employer information
    4. Account numbers for your bank and credit cards
    5. A list of both debts and assets
    6. SSN or EIN
    7. Paperwork if you filed for bankruptcy
    8. Divorce papers if necessary

    3) Ask questions like “what contributes to my credit score?”

If you do not know anything about credit, you will not be sure if the company actually knows what they are doing. You will want to ask about the factors that contribute to a credit rating. Inquire about age of open credit lines, hard credit inquiries, and the percentage of on time payments. A reputable credit repair company will not only know the right answers, but also how to fix them.

    4) How Can I Contact You If I Have Questions, Comments, or Concerns?

The level of customer service you receive tells you a lot about a company. Consider asking these questions:

    • Will I have a direct line of communication with whomever is handling my account?
    • Are there specific hours of operation or is someone available anytime questions come up?
    • What will be required of me during this process and what are my rights?
    • What if I change my mind? Is there a penalty?
    • What if I am not happy with the outcome after the process is done?
    • What is the level of involvement expected from me?

    5) How will I be able to keep track of the progress you are making?

    How to – Fix – a Bad Credit Score, fix my credit score.#Fix #my #credit #score

How to Fix a Bad Credit Score

When you apply for any kind of credit, the lender will want to know how your credit looks, so they usually check your credit scores a three-digit number, usually between 300 and 850, that s based on some of the information in your credit report. Because credit scores are snapshots of your credit status at a given point in time, they re valuable for lenders who need to understand how likely you are to repay your debt if they agree to extend credit to you.

While there are many different credit scoring models with various score ranges, most people have credit scores between 600 and 750, and 700 or higher is considered to be a good credit score, while 800 or higher is excellent. Generally, the higher your credit scores, the more likely you are to qualify for credit, and at better rates and terms. If your scores are low, it can be difficult to obtain affordable credit or to get approved for a loan or credit card at all.

What to Do if Your Credit Score is Bad

Your good credit decisions contribute to higher credit scores, and good credit scores can help you qualify for the best rates and terms. However, a lower score doesn t necessarily mean you can t get credit. You may still be able to get credit, but it likely won t be offered at the best interest rates.

If you know your credit scores are low and you need to secure a home or car loan, it s a good idea to get prequalified before you begin shopping for the item. Pre-qualification will help you know the estimated amount of loan you can consider getting, so you can make a more informed decision about how much to spend when you shop. Getting prequalified won t affect your credit scores since it s a soft inquiry on your credit report.

Even after getting prequalified, it s still possible that the lender may decide not to give you the loan. The final decision will usually include factors beyond just your credit scores (such as your debt-to-income ratio). What s more, your credit situation may change between the time you prequalify and the final approval, and a dramatic difference could cause a lender to reconsider a previous decision.

If you re having trouble getting approved for a credit card or loan, you should know that you have options, including:

    • Becoming an authorized user on someone else s account.
    • Working with a cosigner who has good credit. When you have a cosigner for a loan or credit card, the lender also considers them jointly responsible for the debt.
    • Opening a secured account. With a secured credit card account, you place cash in an account and the card issuer allows you to borrow up to a certain percentage of the money.

How to Improve Your Credit Score

Credit scores aren t static; they can change when the information on your credit report changes. That means you re able to take steps that will positively affect your credit scores since you re in the driver s seat. In order to know what you need to do, you should first check your credit score to see how it stands today. Your FICO Score from Experian data will provide a list of the factors that are affecting your credit scores the most.

Credit report information that can affect credit scores includes:

    • Your payment history, including whether you always pay bills on time or have had any late or missed payments in the past several years.
    • How much total credit you have available and how much of it you re actively using. This information is expressed as your credit utilization ratio.
    • Your total existing debt.
    • The types of credit you ve had and are currently using (your mix of credit).
    • How long you ve been using credit.
    • The number of recent credit applications you ve made, called hard inquiries.
    • Public records such as tax liens or bankruptcies.
    • Paying all your bills on time every month.
    • Reducing the amount of credit card debt you have.
    • Paying off credit card balances, keeping the accounts open, and maintaining a zero balance.
    • Limiting hard inquiries by only applying for credit when you really need it.

If you take these steps and still find yourself struggling, getting help may allow you to get back on track. An approved credit counseling agency can help you create a plan to better manage your finances and pay down debt. You can find a state-by-state list of approved credit counseling agencies from the U.S. Department of Justice to make sure you re working with a legitimate agency.

Debt consolidation may be another option if you re struggling with a lot of credit card debt. A debt consolidation loan allows you to roll multiple high-interest debts into a single payment, usually at a lower interest rate and giving you just one payment to keep track of.

Be wary of any organization that promises to repair your credit with little or no time or effort, or that claims it can repair your credit for a fee. Improving your credit status takes time. Ultimately, there s nothing a credit repair company does that you can t do yourself with time and effort.

Whatever course you choose for improving your credit and credit scores, the first step is to check your credit scores. Once you know what negative factors might be influencing your credit scores, you can take steps today toward rebuilding your credit and regaining access to all the things that great credit makes possible.

    THE ADKINS FIRM – BIRMINGHAM – DALLAS – HOUSTON, credit fix.#Credit #fix

    credit fix

How are credit reports and background reports used?

Banks use credit reports to determine eligibility for mortgages and loans. Credit card companies use credit reports to determine whether to extend credit and if so, at what interest rate. Employers use credit reports to decide whether to hire, promote or fire employees. Landlords use credit reports and background reports to evaluate your rental or lease application. Credit report errors and background report errors can keep you from getting credit, a job, housing and insurance.

Credit reports are divided into several sections. One section includes your personal information. This may include your name, Social Security number, date of birth, addresses, telephone numbers and employment information. The credit reporting agencies, Such as Equifax®, Experian™ and TransUnion®, obtain this information from your existing and potential creditors. The credit bureaus may obtain the information from other consumer reporting agencies.

Credit reports include public record information. Bankruptcies, civil judgments and tax liens are considered public record information. Credit reporting agencies obtain public record information from courthouses electronically and manually.

Credit reports include accounts, including open, closed and collection accounts. Accounts generally are listed with the negative accounts first, but some credit bureaus may list all accounts in alphabetical order. Derogatory accounts reduce your credit score. Derogatory accounts include accounts with a past due balance, late payment history, over credit limit or a status listed as charge off or collection.

Credit reports includes inquiries. If a company is listed in the inquiry section, then the company obtained your credit information from the consumer reporting agency in the previous 2 years. The date of the inquiry is listed so that you will know when the company obtained credit report information about you.

There are two types of credit inquiries. First, hard inquiries are seen by others and reduce your credit score. Second, soft inquiries are inquiries that are shared only with you and are not considered when calculating your credit score.

Consumers should review their credit reports regularly to check for credit report errors. Under federal law, consumers have the right to a free credit report from the credit bureaus at least once every twelve months. Click Annual Credit Report Request Form to order your free credit report from Equifax®, Experian™ and TransUnion®. We do not recommend that you order your report on the Internet or by telephone. Contact us to learn how to order your free credit report.

When you receive your credit reports, you should check them very carefully for errors. An incorrect address, name or date of birth could mean your file is mixed with another person. If you find an account or public record that does not belong to you, then you may be a victim of identity theft.

By reviewing your credit report on a regular, you may be able to detect identity theft . Credit reports errors may be a red flag that you are a victim of identity theft. Incorrect information on your credit report caused by an identity thief can keep you from getting a job, credit or insurance.

Dispute credit report errors – it’s your right under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). If any of these sections contain incorrect information on your credit report, then you should dispute the credit report errors by certified mail to each of the credit agencies.

We represent consumers who have credit report errors and who have made credit report disputes. We represent clients in individual lawsuits and class action lawsuits against credit reporting agencies, employers, creditors and debt collectors. The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) promotes the accuracy of credit reports and the privacy of personal information. Under federal law, consumers have the right to get a free credit report:

Once every 12 months consumers can order an Annual Credit Report (free credit report).

When a company takes adverse action, such as a denial of credit or employment or approves you for credit but with unfavorable credit terms, such as a high interest rate or requiring a deposit.

If you are unemployed and looking for a job in the next 60 days, then you have the right to order a free credit report. If you are looking for a job, it is a good idea to review your credit report before your future employer does. This right gives consumers the opportunity to dispute and correct credit report errors before turning in a job application. The FCRA also provides employees with important rights when employers conduct background checks.

If you are a recipient of public assistance, then you have the right to a free credit report. Public assistance includes Medicare and Social Security.

If you are an ID Theft victim, then you have a right to a free credit report. In fact, as an ID Theft victim, you may order 2 free credit reports every 12 months from the credit bureaus.

Some state laws provide consumers with additional rights to a free credit. For example, Colorado, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Vermont allow consumers with the right to order a free credit report. In Georgia, consumers have the right to order 2 free credit reports per year.

Once you get your reports you should check each report for errors. Under the FCRA, consumer reporting agencies are responsible for correcting inaccurate or fraudulent information on your credit report after you dispute the credit report error. In other words, credit bureaus must investigate your dispute and delete incorrect information.

HOW DO I DISPUTE CREDIT REPORT AND BACKGROUND REPORT ERRORS?

Notify the credit reporting agency in writing of the information you believe is incorrect.

Include copies of supporting documents, such as proof of payment or an ID Theft Affidavit .

Include your contact information, name, address, and Social Security number.

Mail your dispute by certified mail and request a return receipt.

Keep your letter simple and clear. Explain what information is inaccurate and why. Ask the credit reporting agency to delete the inaccurate information from your credit file.

Keep a copy of the dispute letter for future reference, especially if you have to hire a FCRA lawyer.

Contact The Adkins Firm if the credit bureaus do not correct errors your credit report or background report. Consumers have the right to sue the credit reporting bureaus and data furnishers in federal court for violations of the FCRA.

Click HERE to download a free sample credit report dispute form.

If you have reviewed your credit report and disputed the incorrect or fraudulent information, and the credit reporting agency has refused to remove the false credit report or background report information, then you may be entitled under federal law to recover money damages. My first Stitch Fix! The Frugal Girl, fix my credit.#Fix #my #credit

    My first Stitch Fix!

This post is not sponsored and I m not affiliated with Stitch Fix. My referral link is at the end of the post.

    Ok, guys. You ready??

Fix my creditYou may expect this level of modeling in all my Stitch Fix posts. You re welcome.

I told you I signed up to try Stitch Fix, using their the cheaper, the better option, and here s how my first box turned out.

(I had very low expectations, as I hear from tons of people the the first box is usually Very Not Good.)

Joshua happened to have a day off (Yay! I hardly see him these days.), so he took pictures for me.

He just snap, snap, snaps away (just as he did years ago!), so there are always some very interesting pictures of me.

    Fix my credit

So, I guess we ll start with this shirt. I like the color of it, and I think it fit me right.

But the baggy dolman style sort of made me look shapeless in my torso, which is hard to see in these photos.

    Fix my credit

I should have stood straight on so you could see the problem better.

Next up, a $44 sleeveless blouse.

    Fix my credit

This is an accurate portrayal of how I feel about the shirt.

    Fix my credit

I have narrow shoulders to begin with, and the a-shape of this shirt only serves to emphasize this, while making me look wider than I am in the middle.

I m pretty iffy about the print too, as I m not convinced purple and coral are meant to be best friends.

This next shirt ($58) is definitely better, but still not really great on me. It feels a little short in the front.

    Fix my credit

Though the length is fine in the back.

    Fix my credit

And the last top is this cardigan, which is super soft, very well-made, and has a lovely drape.

    Fix my credit

Buuut when you see it from straight on, you realize it has the same problem as the purple and coral blouse. My shoulders look narrow, and I look like I have no waist.

    Fix my credit

Having no visible waist is less than flattering.

So, I m not keeping any of those tops.

However, the one thing I AM keeping is the jeans I m wearing in all the photos. They re Liverpool Elizabeth skinny jeans, and they re $78, which is more than I ve ever paid for a pair of jeans in my life.

However, they are definitely way better quality than the $29 skinny jeans I currently have from Kohl s, so I decided to keep them to see if they hold up better.

    Fix my credit

(The elastic in one of my Kohl s pairs fell apart in less than one winter s worth of wear like, the jeans got bunchy the way swimsuits do when the elastic goes.)

If I kept nothing, I d have paid the $20 styling fee, so I was going to pay $20 regardless. And since I did like the jeans, and they were so well-made, I decided to fork over the additional $58 to be able to keep the jeans.

Hopefully it was the right choice!

    So. There you have it.

I d promise that my modeling will be better next time around, except it probably won t be. I m a frugal blogger, not a fashion blogger. Fix my creditBut I ll do my best.

I m curious to see if my next box will contain more wins, since I gave super detailed feedback to my stylist about price points and what styles didn t work for me this time. We ll see!

If you d like to try Stitch Fix, here s my referral link (which is the same referral link any of you can get to refer your friends to Stitch Fix. It s not a blogger-specific thing.)

P.S. Last time I wrote about Stitch Fix, someone wrote in to tell me I was being devious. Which made me laugh, because I always announce referral/affiliate links.

How to Fix Curling Vinyl Floor Tile, how-tos, DIY, fix credit.#Fix #credit

How to Fix Curling Vinyl Floor Tile

    Start to Finish

    • rolling pin
    • iron
    • vinyl gloves
    • putty knife
    • seam sealer
    • wax paper
    • aluminum foil
    • grout and tile sealer
    • tile adhesive

    Step 1

    Fix credit

    DIYW206-Iron-Vinyl

    Heat the Vinyl Tile Floor

Cover the tile with aluminum foil. Then warm it with an iron on medium heat. This will make the tile flexible and soften the adhesive.

    Step 2

    Fix credit

    DIYW206-Apply-Adhesive

    Apply the Adhesive

Peel back more of the tile so you can apply sufficient adhesive. Gently lift the tile and spread a thin layer of adhesive on the floor. Don’t overdo it — too much adhesive can cause the tile to ripple.

    Step 3

    Fix credit

    DIYW206-Rolling-Pin

    Press the Tile Back Down

Press the tile back into place and using the rolling pin, roll towards the edge to force out any excess adhesive. Wipe up any stray adhesive using a wet cloth.

    Step 4

    Fix credit

    DIYW206-Book-Weights

    Secure the Tile in Place

Cover the repair with wax paper and heavy books. The weight of the books will hold the tile down until the adhesive dries. Leave the books on the tile for at least eight hours or until the glue dries. After it’s dry, take the seam sealer and run a thin bead along the seams. That will keep dirt out for good.

How to Get Your Credit Report for Free

Your credit report include information on your address, the number of credit accounts you have, whether you pay your bills on time, and whether you have been sued or filed from bankruptcy. Lenders use it when determining whether to lend to you and at what rates. The United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recommends that you check your credit report at least once a year to prevent identity theft and to make sure your information is being accurately reported. [1] Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you are legally entitled to at least one report every 12 months from each of the three major credit bureaus, and the process to obtain them – whether online or by mail – is quick and easy.

How to Rebuild – Fix Your Credit Score – 7 Steps to Follow, how to fix your credit score.#How #to #fix #your #credit #score

How to Rebuild Fix Your Credit Score 7 Steps to Follow

It doesn t take much to damage a good credit score. A missed payment here, a late payment there, and before you know it, your score has dropped below 600 and into dangerous territory. Once your score drops, you ll find that loans are more difficult to acquire, while your interest rates go up. What s more, you may have to pay more for insurance and you might not be able to rent that great apartment you wanted. Plus, many employers check credit scores as part of the vetting process when hiring new employees. In short, a low credit score can really affect your life.

It can be a difficult road, but rebuilding your credit score is definitely worth the effort often, the hardest part is just getting started. Fortunately, there are a number of tips to help you on your way.

How Your Credit Score Can Crash

Two of life s most stressful occurrences divorce and bankruptcy can wreak havoc on your credit score. Divorce can leave you feeling devastated emotionally, but it can also leave you with debts that linger long after the trauma of the legal battle is over. During a divorce, it s important to be sure that your divorce decree separates all debts as to who is responsible for paying them. Close any joint accounts that are paid off, and double-check by ordering a free copy of your credit report so that you can see what debts and accounts bear your name.

The decision to go through bankruptcy is likewise a painful experience that can level a blow to your credit score. However, the effect is temporary, and with consistent effort you can rebuild your score to a stellar rating. As long as the bankruptcy is listed on your credit report, your credit score will suffer. If your score was high say, around 750 a bankruptcy is likely to make it plunge by 100 points.

There are three types of bankruptcy:

    • Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcies, which stay on your credit report for 10 years after filing
    • Chapter 13 bankruptcy, which remains for seven years after filing

All of the individual accounts that you owed when you filed for bankruptcy are supposed to be removed from your report after seven years. Check your credit report and make sure that your bankruptcy is removed as soon as it is eligible to be purged.

Steps to Rebuilding Your Credit Score

For those who have bad credit, opening a bank account may be easier said than done. You may have to check around, but there are banks (such as Wells Fargo) that offer opportunity accounts to those who have bad credit. Just be prepared to live with limited services and higher fees until you are able to rebuild your credit.

You should also check with your local banks and credit unions, as they are more likely to be willing to work with you. You can find a credit union near you by going to the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) website.

    2. Get a Secured Credit Card

Obtain a secured credit card by using your bank account as collateral. With a secured card you can charge up to the amount in your bank account. Avoid cards that charge an application fee, and look for cards with low annual fees. Also, make sure to choose a card that will be reported on your credit report, and, if possible, select a card that will convert to an unsecured card after one year of making on-time payments.

    3. Obtain an Installment Loan

After working with your bank or credit union for several months and proving that you are a good customer, you may be able to convince them to extend an installment loan to you. Keep it small less than $1,000, if possible.

The purpose of the loan is not so much to make a purchase as it is to give you another opportunity to show how responsible you are about paying your debts. Keep the loan amount and the payment amounts small enough so that you are sure to be successful in making all payments on time. This is the time to show that you can make regular payments. The best way to do that is to set up automatic payments through your online banking system.

If you owe money on your student loans, then make paying them a priority. These loans follow you throughout your life, and they cannot be discharged through bankruptcy. Once you are in repayment mode, student loans will appear on your credit report. Any missed or late payments will derail your efforts at rebuilding your credit score.

    5. Become an Authorized User

You may be able to rebuild your credit by leveraging the good credit of a friend or relative and becoming an authorized user on their credit card. They must contact their credit card company and have you added to their account. That credit card will appear on your credit report, and your score will benefit from your friend s good payment record.

As an authorized user, you re entitled to a card too but if you value the friendship, it s a good idea to decline and not use the credit card at all.

Stay away from prepaid debit and credit cards, as they charge fees and high interest rates. Offered by large companies such as Green Dot, Walmart, and NetSpend, they come emblazoned with the Visa or MasterCard logo but don t be fooled. You end up paying almost double for any purchases you charge with cards such as these. Furthermore, they don t typically show up on your credit report, so there is no real benefit to using them.

It s time to turn over a new leaf and correct the behaviors that crashed your credit score. Be sure to do the following:

    • Only keep a couple of credit cards in your possession.
    • Shred and discard credit card applications that come in the mail.
    • Don t max out your credit cards.
    • Only charge a maximum of 10% of your credit line.
    • Pay off your card balance in full each month.
    • Never, ever miss a payment.

If you feel that you need more support in your efforts to reform, contact your local Consumer Credit Counseling Service office. This nonprofit organization provides free and low-cost assistance to those in need.

    Final Word

Will it be easy to rebuild your credit? Probably not. It requires you to make changes to your spending habits, as well as your outlook on money. Will it be quick? No. It typically takes at least a year to accrue a good payment history that will have any effect on your score, and up to 10 years to remove a bankruptcy.

However, it is definitely worth the effort. Not only will you feel better about yourself, but you ll have an easier time getting the car, house, or even job you desire when you have good credit.

Have you or anyone you know rebuilt a credit score? What strategies were used?

Laptop Touchpad Not Working Problem [Fix]

Laptops are known as the perfect portable replacement for desktop computers. Even smartphones can’t compete with the sleek, thin and high performance notebooks that can be used as workstations. Laptops contain compact form of everything, the keyboard has less keys, more functions are assigned to a single key to increase compactness and portability. The regular mouse is replaced with a touchpad/trackpad also there is a reduced number of USB slots and so on.

I have seen many people who face problems with their laptop, the most common one is Laptop Mouse (Touchpad) not working. Using your Computer without using mouse cursor is like chewing food without teeth. Don’t worry, I have I have provided a list of solutions that will help you restore the functionality of your Synaptics Touchpad or whatever it is on your laptop.

How to Fix Laptop Touchpad (Mouse) Not Working:

    1. Check if you accidentally disabled Touchpad.

Every laptop keyboard has a built-in hotkey that lets you enable/disable the touchpad. Every Laptop manufacturer has different function key (fn) combination for this.

For Lenovo, Dell, HP, Toshiba, Acer and Asus Laptops, try using the following key combination.

It could be any function key from F1-F12, there is a small touchpad outlined on that function key so look closely. Once you find it, hold fn key, it is on the left bottom corner of keyboard and than press that Function key (F6, f7 etc.).

    2. Enable Touchpad from Mouse Settings:

Open Start Menu and Type “Mouse” and open the first thing that comes up. Now locate Touchpad settings and make sure the Enable Touchpad option is checked. Also, check the taskbar for Touchpad icon (near volume control) and see if it is disabled.

    3. Re-Install Touchpad Drivers

Download your Laptop’s touchpad drivers from your manufacturer’s website. Use the following query on Google to get quick result

Query: Laptop’s model no. + drivers + Operating system version

E.g. Dell Inspiron 15R drivers for Windows 8.1

    5. Enable touchpad from BIOS configuration:

Start your Laptop, immediately press DEL, F2 or F10 to enter the BIOS Setup. Use your keyboard arrow keys and Enter key to navigate inside the BIOS utility.

    Open the following:

System Properties Keyboard/Mouse Features Device Options

From there find the Internal Pointing Device or Touchpad, press Enter and use arrow keys to enable or disable it.

Note: The key to acessing the BIOS is different on every brand.

    6. Reboot your Laptop/Notebook:

Shutdown your laptop, remove battery for about a minute. Re-attach the battery then Start the Computer.

    7. Make sure Touchpad is securely connected (ADVANCED users only)

Disassemble the laptop, make sure the Touchpad is securely connected the mainboard. Sometimes hard bumps/hits cause touchpad to lose its connection. If this doesn’t work, it is time to replace the touchpad.

The other reasons for decline could be failed verification, incomplete documentation apart from the credit policy of the bank.

Q- Will Credit Sudhaar Finance take my past defaults into account while underwriting as any other lender will?

How to Rebuild – Fix Your Credit Score – 7 Steps to Follow, fix bad credit.#Fix #bad #credit

How to Rebuild – Fix Your Credit Score – 7 Steps to Follow, fix credit.#Fix #credit

  • Laptop Touchpad Not Working Problem Fix, how to fix credit.#How #to #fix #credit

    4. Use your calendar.
    5. Pay bills on time.
    6. Don’t hint at risk.
    7. Don’t obsess.

    1. Watch those credit card balances

One major factor in your credit score is how much revolving credit you have versus how much you’re actually using. The smaller that percentage is, the better it is for your credit rating.

The optimum: 30 percent or lower.

To boost your score, “pay down your balances, and keep those balances low,” says Pamela Banks, senior policy counsel for Consumers Union.

If you have multiple credit card balances, consolidating them with a personal loan could help your score.

What you might not know: Even if you pay balances in full every month, you still could have a higher utilization ratio than you’d expect. That’s because some issuers use the balance on your statement as the one reported to the bureau. Even if you’re paying balances in full every month, your credit score will still weigh your monthly balances.

One strategy: See if the credit card issuer will accept multiple payments throughout the month.

    2. Eliminate credit card balances

“A good way to improve your credit score is to eliminate nuisance balances,” says John Ulzheimer, a nationally recognized credit expert formerly of FICO and Equifax. Those are the small balances you have on a number of credit cards.

The reason this strategy can boost your score: One of the items your score considers is just how many of your cards have balances, Ulzheimer says. That’s why charging $50 on one card and $30 on another instead of using the same card (preferably one with a good interest rate) can hurt your credit score.

The solution to improve your credit score is to gather up all those credit cards with small balances and pay them off, Ulzheimer says. Then select one or two go-to cards that you can use for everything.

“That way, you’re not polluting your credit report with a lot of balances,” he says.

    3. Leave old debt on your report

Some people erroneously believe that old debt on their credit report is bad.

The minute they get their home or car paid off, they’re on the phone trying to get it removed from their credit report.

Negative items are bad for your credit score, and most of them will disappear from your report after seven years. However, “arguing to get old accounts off your credit report just because they’re paid is a bad idea,” Ulzheimer says.

Good debt — debt that you’ve handled well and paid as agreed — is good for your credit. The longer your history of good debt is, the better it is for your score.

One of the ways to improve your credit score: Leave old debt and good accounts on as long as possible. This is also a good reason not to close old accounts where you’ve had a solid repayment record.

Trying to get rid of old good debt “is like making straight A’s in high school and trying to expunge the record 20 years later,” Ulzheimer says. “You never want that stuff to come off your history.”

    4. Use your calendar

If you’re shopping for a home, car or student loan, it pays to do your rate shopping within a short time period.

Every time you apply for credit, it can cause a small dip in your credit score that lasts a year. That’s because if someone is making multiple applications for credit, it usually means he or she wants to use more credit.

However, with three kinds of loans — mortgage, auto and more recently, student loans — scoring formulas allow for the fact that you’ll make multiple applications but take out only one loan.

The FICO score, a credit score commonly used by lenders, ignores any such inquiries made in the 30 days prior to scoring. If it finds some that are older than 30 days, it will count those made within a typical shopping period as just one inquiry.

The length of that shopping period depends on the credit score used.

If lenders are using the newest forms of scoring software, then you have 45 days, says Ulzheimer. With older forms, you need to keep it to 14 days.

Older forms of the software won’t count multiple student loan inquiries as one, no matter how close together you make applications, he says.

    5. Pay bills on time

If you’re planning a major purchase (like a home or a car), you might be scrambling to assemble one big chunk of cash.

While you’re juggling bills, you don’t want to start paying bills late. Even if you’re sitting on a pile of savings, a drop in your score could scuttle that dream deal.

One of the biggest ingredients in a good credit score is simply month after month of plain-vanilla, on-time payments.

“Credit scores are determined by what’s in your credit report,” says Linda Sherry, director of national priorities for Consumer Action. If you’re bad about paying your bills — or paying them on time — it damages your credit and hurts your credit score, she says.

That can even extend to items that aren’t normally associated with credit reporting, such as library books, she says. That’s because even if the original “creditor,” such as the library, doesn’t report to the bureaus, they may eventually call in a collections agency for an unpaid bill. That agency could very well list the item on your credit report.

Putting cash into a savings account for a major purchase is smart. Just don’t slight the regular bills to do it.

    6. Don’t hint at risk

Sometimes, one of the best ways to improve your credit score is to not do something that could sink it.

Two of the biggies are missing payments and suddenly paying less (or charging more) than you normally do, says Dave Jones, retired president of the Association of Independent Consumer Credit Counseling Agencies.

Other changes that could scare your card issuer (but not necessarily hurt your credit score): taking cash advances or even using your cards at businesses that could indicate current or future money stress, such as a pawnshop or a divorce attorney, he says.

“You just don’t want to do anything that would indicate risk,” Jones says.

    7. Don’t obsess

You should be laser-focused on your credit score when you know you’ll soon need credit. In the interim, pay your bills and use credit responsibly. Your score will reflect these smart spending behaviors.

Are you getting ready to make a big purchase, such as a home or car? At least a few months in advance, have a look at your credit score.

While the score that you get through your bank or a service may not be the exact same one your lender uses, it will grade you on many of the same criteria and give you a good indication of how well you’re managing your credit. It will provide you with specific ways to improve your credit score — in the form of several codes or factors that kept your score from being higher.

If you are denied credit (or don’t qualify for the lender’s best rate), the lender has to show you the credit score it used, thanks to the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.

Another smart move is to regularly check your credit reports.

You’re entitled to one of each of your three credit bureau reports (Equifax, Experian and TransUnion) for free every 12 months through AnnualCreditReport.com.

It’s smart to stagger them. Send for one every four months, and you can monitor your credit for free.

    How to – Fix – a Bad Credit Score, how to fix bad credit.#How #to #fix #bad #credit

How To Fix My Credit Score In 6 Months, how to fix bad credit.#How #to #fix #bad #credit

Hi Tony, What a super Herdy you captured today. We loved it. Herdy’s just have to be the most personality plus of all sheep. Wonderful sunset photos too. The colour combinations we experienced this evening were magical as the sun set behind Grange over Sands and the colours were reflected in the water in the Kent Estuary taken with my iPhone at 4.29pm.. Hope all well with you, Sir Ben, and your extended family. Richard and Margaret, Sandside
